Good v.s. Bad typography

This is my example of good typography. I chose this because it's intriguing, it's eye catching and the words have a message. The font is unique and different. The rainbow layer in the background makes the color of the font stand out and interesting. The way they stretch the letters makes it more fun and entertaining to look at.

This one in my opinion is not as good as the one above. It's a bit hard to read but it say's typography but do to the font it is kind of hard to read. The interesting font makes up for it and makes it decent to look at but it still lacks a certain pizazz to it and that is why i say it is not as the above one.

  1. Your first example is interesting, but they have seemed to fail to bring their message across. I don't really get how a tree and a rainbow could really be the best way to say 'Inspire Design Idea'. But it's still good, I guess, it's not really your fault about the message anyways. I used the gimp before, it isn't nearly as good as Adobe, but it's pretty good for freeware.

As for your last example, I can agree with you on this one. With the way that it is written, I would have guessed that it was trying to have two words instead of one because it looks like it has two columns.
